  • Online Safety

Our children are being exposed to the ever increasing technological world and many of them pick up technology at a faster rate than adults. However, they need not only the knowledge but also the wisdom of how to behave in the virtual world and at St. John the Baptist we feel that this is of paramount importance.

We follow Natterhub to teach our pupils about online safety by using fun and interactive learning techniques, making it engaging for all pupils. In addition to this we aim to work in partnership with our parents to ensure that the safe and responsible use of technology is transferred from school to home. We provide a weekly guide for parents which we source from the https://nationalonlinesafety.com website. This ensures relevant and up to date Online Safety issues and concerns are available to parents.

At St.John the Baptist we pride ourselves on how well we use Pupil Voice within school. This is also true for Online Safety. We have a group of digital leaders that consist of two children per class. They promote online safety in their class, help to look after the devices and offer support/help to those who need it.
